Church and missions agency partnerships can be relational instead of transactional, guided by Trinitarian values, and growing through shared knowledge of good practice. Churches and Missions Agencies Together is written for pastors, missions leaders, and church-agency working groups. It provides practical guidelines for good partnership practice when joint decisions need to be made about foundational issues such as crises, candidature, and conflict on the mission field.

This unique book grew from doctoral research on the partnership practice of churches sending missionaries through missions agencies. A working group of missions agencies and local churches in Singapore applied the findings, further developed the model, and documented good practice guidelines. Both the research and their journey are a relational model for partnership practice.

REV DR IVAN LIEW is the Missions & Outreach Pastor of Woodlands Evangelical Free Church, Singapore, the missions director for the Evangelical Free Church of Singapore, and an SIM Singapore Council member. His doctoral research at Asbury Theological Seminary focused on optimizing church-agency partnerships for mobilization and member care.
